We got to ride an elephant through Castlecourt Belfast!

We arrived at 10am and they had organised breakfast for us in “Insomnia” in prep for Santa coming! They also let the kids make a Christmas Eve box. There was a whole pile of goodies for them to pick from, and the kids filled their boxes for Christmas Eve fun. The next surprise was the mortised animal ride! The kids wasted no time and jumped on them straight away, riding them up and down the centre (and lets be honest parents…if you were there, you would have jumped on for a go too!) It was class!

Next, we were taken to the epic Christmas tree for some serious toy testing. There was a range of all kinds of toys to play with. I would say the boys’ favourite would have been the neon car track; you could take the cars and make all kinds of tracks (and they just loved building the tracks!). It reminded me of the 80’s film ‘Big’ with Tom Hanks where he lands the best job in the world - testing toys - the only thing missing was the gigantic walk on piano! (I know what you’re thinking…was this event for the kids or the adults?! I’m not going to lie, I totally loved playing with the toys!)

Unfortunately the morning was coming to an end, but we had one more treat in store for us…it was time to meet the big man! The kids could hardly contain themselves. It was the best end to a great day.

I have to say the grotto is fantastic in Casltecourt, the whole centre really captures the Christmas spirit and as we were leaving there was a live band playing on the main street which really added to the Christmas atmosphere.

A brilliant mornings entertainment for the kids and a big thank you to Castlecourt for inviting us!
